i think stl would prefer to keep older prospects in the pipeline, especially goal-scoring prospects to cover the team's finishing weakness.

maybe this deal works with kostin or blais, but i don't think stl bites for kyrou

Agree to disagree, they do seem interested in a first from what guys like Dreger have reported so you make a good point. Do you think they would be able to get Kyrou and a first for Kreider? Seems like a lot to me.

Good point, I think if the blues were to include Klostin over Kyrou than the pick would bump to a first rounder.

Yea Kyrie and a first is too much maybe if we included lias it could potentially bump to a first but I doubt it. Klostin and a first is prob more reasonable

Y'all better not expect Kyrou or Kostin for Kreider... just gonna be let down when it doesn't happen. The Blues are way too thin on quality prospects to be tossing them away for rentals.

Honestly, Kostin and a 1st isn't reasonable for Kreider unless a trade and sign is happening. Even then, the Blues love Kostin and aren't willing to pay a big price for players. Look at the O'Reilly deal. Two cap dumps, a first rounder, and a terrible young player for a legit number 1 center. That wasn't a big price at all so Armstrong pulled the trigger.
With the expansion coming up, Blues want to hold to some of their young guys who wont yet be eligible. Realistically, if you want a first in the deal you'll have to retain plus take someone like Sanford.

who is a lesser prospect that the Blues would be willing to give up then? The market value for kreider is a first and a mid level prospect, the rangers are more interested in a quality prospect over a first round pick, so maybe the blues dont fit the bill given your opinion that the blues are thin on top level prospects.

Man, these Rangers guys are in fine fantasy form. Kyrou and Kostin are non-starters, obviously. And frankly so is a 2020 1st.

Man you clearly don't play too close attention to any sort of hockey news. There is a little show called TSN, not sure if you have heard of it. Dreger said Kreider is worth a first rounder and a prospect.

But ill trust your opinion since you clearly know more.

Where do you see me say he isn't worth that? I'm saying he isn't worth that to the Blues. Coz he ain't.
