I'm an habs fan and Price is over 30 with a huge contract. He is not being move because he's the franchise player but it still a good trade value-wise

Price have made a terrible franchise a ok team for more than 10 years .. This trade contain a B class goalie a wash up Erik Johnson (rhd) a 2nd rounder and a very late first round pick .
Erik Johnson would play behind Weber and Petry and would kick young Cale Fleury out of the lineup . He's also sign for 3 mores season at 6M . Gives me Price with ANY defenseman upfront instead !

I don't think any teams would move the world for Price. I'm saying that as a big fan of him. He could be performing at Vezina levels but the simple fact is he makes too much money for a team to be super competitive and a team close now would sacrifice a lot by bringing him on now (Avs). Your goalie can be a wall but you still need depth up front to go all the way. He carried the Habs for many seasons but I just don't think a goalie is worth so many assets no matter who it is.
