Instead of trying to acquire scoring talent which will cost a lot more, playing to their strength and building a very strong defensive team is their best chance at being good next year. Good defensive forwards like Sissons, Goodrow and Pageau are better options than giving up higher assets for players that have the same overall impact on the ice, but just in the offensive zone.

Sjs trade is terrible. Goodrow isnt worth the 2nd, let alone the rest of it. Risto isnt worth dumping for nothing, that trade is also terrible. And the lines look like youve never watched a Sabres game
