Idk if I would say he’s better only bc the habs aren’t very good but you’d be crazy to accept a trade for a 32 years lateral move signed to a massive deal for a long term.

(I'm just adding 1 > each time I see a Grubi++ for price trade, it's probably close between the two... I started Friday lol)

Have been discussed by insider pierre lebrun on tsn podcast. There have been no trade talk between those two team yet. But Price would have ask a trade if the Habs where missing the playoff again this year. And its more and more likelinthat the habs will go in a complete rebuilt by the deadline moving some quality players. A old Colorado players have been liked Carey Price to colorado since then. The habs would send jeff petry and carey price for alex beaucage, bowen byram, erik johnson and tyson jost. And some pick would be added to.

Better GSAx this year, better GSAA this year, better hdSV% this year, better GSAx in a three year sample, better GSAA in a three year sample, better hdSV% in a three year sample, and those stats take out the defense almost completely, so that argument is wrong, and I'm sorry, but what your goalie did years ago doesn't affect how good he is rn... Btw I don't like either of COL or MTL so I'm not biased or anything lol

Also note that he's had better stats this year and isn't part of a tandem...

better in a smaller sample by a miniscule amount .

give him Price's workload and see him crack
there's a reason no teams comfortable making him a starter

I know for a fact COL came out and publicly said that they're comfortable with their goaling situation, both starter and backup and weren't looking to make a move... Plus he took the starting job last year, won it legitly and was pretty much the main reason they made the playoffs

did he play 50% of the games last season or more?
no?

that was Varlamov ? you dont say :P

He's still not on pace as Francous heats up putting out superior numbers .
Grubaeur still on pace to miss the 50% mark and fail yet again to prove he's a True Starter as his numbers drop for a fourth straight year .

you dont want Price fine just man up and say it but dont do mental olympics to try and pretend Grubauer's a starter in any sense as even by proxy he plays less then half the games in a season

Yet he won the starting job BY OUTPERFORMING Varlomov last year... Yes Varly got the majority of the starts IN THE BEGINNING of the year last year, but by the end Grubi had proven that he was the better G and won the starting job (started all but three games from game 68-82... Their most important and best stretch of the season) and he's already played 24ish full games and missed 7 or so games due to injury, so yes, if he was healthy the full you he would have been on pace to play over 42 games (say 28 in 45 which = 51 games or 62% clearly over 50% and that's assuming they don't ride him like they did at the end of the year last year)

And speaking of Francouz... He hasn't been pushing for the starting role much at all... Having a much worse GSAx (still better than Price tho) fSV% (sv% on all shots faced, not just SOG) and dfSV% (difference between fSV% and expected fSV%)... So yeah... Not really pushing him for starts...
