Theyre sinking like a stone in the murky Red River HabsWingsNYI HawksSJ trades

Created by: MisstheWhalers
Team: 2019-20 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 12, 2020
Published: Jan. 13, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
A middle 6 winger-check
Two top 4 D-check
4th line center-check
Dumped the dullest player in the league-check

I don't think Buff is coming back.
I think these are pretty fair trades.
Does this team make the playoffs?

All opinions are welcome.

Doubt it but we'll see, I don't think he's worth more then a 3rd but I know Sharks fans think he's worth more so I sent a 5th too.

Trust me, he will fetch a 2nd and a prospect. He’s only a -1 on a team with a terrible goal differential. If Wilson got a 2nd and 3rd for Braun, he will do much better for Dillon at the TDL where trans typically overpay. Especially teams desperate for D like the Jets. You’ll see.

I hope the Jets aren't that desperate, unless they get really bold they're really going nowhere, would just be a waste of assets on a rental.

Personally I think Dubas overpaid for Muzzin so maybe he'll cough up a nice package for Dillon, I just hope Chevy doesn't. I think Dillon is solid but the Jets just aren't an organization that should be dealing valuable assets for rentals especially in what's likely a lost season.

I'd deal him in a heartbeat if I was Chevy, he's terrible, would likely do well in Trotz defense first system though.

Exactly why I think he would be a good fit is because of his defensive game. Isles need a 3c and he could be a good fit

I think the best place for Lowry is on the 4th line. He still is a valuable player, but he shouldnt be a 3C right now...better to give that spot to Copp or even Little when/if he's back

I like Connor Murphy and his contract, but if Im the jets Im not trading away a 1st. Even if that is the cost...the jets need to hit on their picks

I agree but he's easier to replace then many think, there's countless guys who could be good 4C's for $2M less a season then Lowry.

Copp should be the 3C now, hopefully Little comes back and can contribute, heard he skated at practice in a non contact jersey yesterday, he'll help anywhere in the middle 6 if he's back to 100%.

Can't wait around for every pick to hit, that takes years and this team needs help now, Murphy isn't a rental which is why I'd target him, teams trade 1sts for rentals all the time.

Sure you can wait around...the jets have done it for years and it has paid off amazingly. I like the idea of making a deal, but not if it includes a first. Jets have drafted and developed well enough to use some of those guys opposed to the first. Just my opinion. Plus I hate watching the draft when your team doesnt have a pick in the 1st

So Scheiffele isn't gonna be 26 forever, you realize that yeah?!.. Times a wasting here and key guys are getting older and they really haven't found anything special outside of the 1st round, they need to make some deals before it's too late.

Oh and if it had paid off "amazingly" as you put it they wouldn't be in the shape they're in today.. Lol

I've watched him a bit, doesn't impress me, no guarantee he wants to be a Jet either.

You cant argue the draft and develop model the jets have used. Those first rounders are not the problem right now.
The "shape" there in right now, IMO, is mainly due to no Buf and no way to replace Buf. Adding him or spending his cap makes this team better
