Okay. Guess who isn’t getting a 2nd round pick in trade!

This whole concept just doesn’t fit.

i dont see why MTL sells him

it makes more sense to re-sign him and build his value using him to help fill the void after we deal Tatar who actually has value today .

Kovalchuk-Danault-Gallagher
Drouin-Domi-Suzuki
Lehkonen-Kotkanemi-Armia
Cousins-Thompson-Poehling
Byron

Trading Tatar makes more sense

Hes played 4 games with Montreal and been extremely sheltered. Hes got a high pdo and did I mention it's been 4 games. Everyone should pump the breaks and give him 5-10 more games to see if he really is good or not

Bjork has turned the 2nd line into an actual threat w/ DeBrusk so I wouldn't take him off the line. Also, Heinen has started to find the score sheet now that he's back on his natural wing, so I wouldn't slide him to RW. Go get Toffoli or call up someone like Senyshyn for the #3RW spot.

I would be upset if Boston is the only team willing to trade a 4th and Bergevin doesn't make that trade. Sure you help Boston short term (in a year it doesn't hurt Habs), but you take away one more asset for them going forward. However unlikely, that could still be the next Brendan Gallagher (147), Victor Mete (100), Cale Fleury (87), Cayden Primeau (199).

A good reason to trade him is because the habs aren’t making the playoffs, this year, or next year. Probably dead in the water for the year after that too.

I’m fairly certain that MTL would rather take a 5th from someone in the West, or at least not in division, than they would from Boston or Toronto especially
There’s pretty much zero chance they’d help either of those teams
