BTW - after making this trade, I’m guessing you’d be unable to bring Rielly back when he’s healthy.

so one of the better backups in the game that could be a decent starter with an actual defense in front of him... and kreider who is likely going to get a first+ himself only gets the rangers mango, a late 2021 2nd, a bottom 6 in moore, and a complete unknown playmaking recent 3rd round center. riiiiiiighhhtt.

Yep. Which is one of about 5 things that are wrong with this trade.

Leafs need to add a guy they can fully bury in the AHL when needed, or add a big piece using Johnsson or Kappy. Adding a backup goalie and a forward are silly uses of that trade chip.

no theyll just hypothetically trade ceci for a 3rd to the jets cuz they need defensive help.

This carrys the same cap hit AJ would have when bringing everyone back
