TDL Targets

Team: 2019-20 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 14, 2020
Published: Jan. 14, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Guys I would look to target for 2nd line rw... cap is 100% an issue so keep that in mind. there would need to be retention on some players listed below.
Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Labanc, Kevin
Additional Details:
Would cost a bit but ive liked this player going back to last year. perfect middle 6 player.
SJS
2.
BOS
  1. Anderson, Josh
Additional Details:
Will never happen but i love this player and he would fit perfectly as a bruin. Cost is through the roof even during a down year.
CBJ
3.
BOS
  1. Athanasiou, Andreas
Additional Details:
Think he will be moved but again its going to cost. I love his speed aspect and think he would be a dangerous add for bruins in terms of speed, this team lacks that high end speed guy, this could help with ot during the rest of the regular season. Not sure what he would cost as he is an RFA is only slightly over a half point per game player this year.
DET
4.
BOS
  1. Kassian, Zack
Additional Details:
Pure rental, career year drives up his cost but plays a physical game. Purely if cost lines up. nothing more than a 3rd and lower tier prospect otherwise oilers can keep him.
EDM
5.
BOS
  1. Iafallo, Alex
  2. Toffoli, Tyler
Additional Details:
toffoli would need retention which will drive up cost but 12 goals in 46 games 27 points not terrible but shouldnt drive his price through the roof as most teams will want retention on him. Secondary thoughts are iafallo whos not a rental and has a decent cap hit. not really a scorer but hes only got one point less than toffoli. Could be a sneaky steal for any team out there right now since LA is going full rebuild.
LAK
6.
BOS
  1. Staal, Eric
Additional Details:
I just like the player, dont think he gets moved for anything since he gets to dictate where he plays.
MIN
7.
BOS
  1. Coleman, Blake
Additional Details:
Cap hit makes more sense than trading for palmeri. Palmeri is also an option. i dont think coleman would fill the 2nd line rw spot all that great but he isnt the worst addition.
NJD
8.
BOS
  1. Kreider, Chris
Additional Details:
The most obvious trade target, only thing that bothers me is he would be playing his off wing. since he is traditionally a left shot lw. will command a 1st+ dont really want to pay that price.
NYR
9.
BOS
  1. Brown, Connor
  2. Duclair, Anthony
  3. Pageau, Jean-Gabriel
Additional Details:
Any of these 3 would be great. I think duclair is finally finding his game, JGP has always been a favorite of mine, he plays similar to bergeron. And connor brown had a crazy good opening stretch of the year but has cooled off since. I think any of these 3 will command a high trade value but i think they all could benefit any contending team.

Palmieri?

hes listed under the devils trade, in the notes (i know nobody reads that crap) since he isnt a rental it would be ideal, im just not sure how they make the cap work there. I cant see NJD retaining for next year unless the bruins overpay which i dont really want to do...

Staal i wrote i like the player, i dont think hes moving but i would overpay to get staal if he waived to come here. Iafallo could be interesting if kings want to move, hes only 26. carries a lower cap hit. Not a big name, i think he would be a cheaper trade target over toffoli but thats just me. AA is a different story. Redwings are full rebuild. He is an RFA which drives his value up a little bit . I just think the bruins could heavily benefit from his speed and should overpay for a guy with his skill set.

i dont think kreider is the most obvious trade target. A legitimate rw is the obvious trade target. My guess BOS will ride the ship as long as possible with kreider but trading away the 1st will scare off sweeney and he'll end up landing toffoli for 2nd +

i think itll be a tad bit more for the kings to retain on toffoli though.

Why do you think it’’ cost so much to get Anderson? I feel like they would be thrilled with a 2nd rounder.

Only because hes been injured all year, i feel like anderson is one of those value players that. Plays hard and has the ability to play up and down the lineup. Those guys are pretty valuable.

They tend to have value to teams frequently. Players with 1 goal and 3 assist in 26 games (ya, he’s been injured, but let’s not pretend he wasn’t trash in the 26 games he played this season), don’t tend to have a ton of trade value as they get closer to unrestricted free agency. 2nd rounder absolute max.

He was trash because hes had the same shoulder injury since training camp... if all the bluejackets can get is a late second they probably dont move him.
