Wild have no need for Fleury and Canes have to make it an unconditional 1st.

I could see Bokk + another prospect + 1st for Brodin, but I'd rather we push hard for Necas since he's exactly what we need.

Brodin has an extra year on his deal. He will therefore almost certainly be worth a 1st IF Minnesota is even willing to part with him. I'd personally offer Eddy and a Carolina 1st in 2020. If they decline, I would just stand pat.

So what would you add to Brodin to get Necas?

Necas is a no-go. I would personally offer Eddy and a 2020 1st. Eddy, as a pending UFA, can be flipped for picks in the 2nd and/or 3rd rounds at the deadline.

Eh... I don't like the idea of us being forced with the headache to flip someone at the deadline. I'd rather just get the picks/prospects by moving Brodin.

My mistake. That's a good question, I could see Zucker but I don't think it would ever work salary-wise. Maybe one of our young players not named Fiala, would fill the hole on Carolina that moving Necas would create. Don't know if that would be enough though.

It can be a three-way deal, where the Canes trade Eddy to a third team and use the assets, along with the 2020 1st, to acquire Brodin.

@TanSor Necas isn’t a center and doubt his long term projections are taking him to top 6 centerman in the future.

I'd be fine with that depending on the assets

I feel like it would be a huge overpay on the minnesota side. Necas is a possible 70 point guy in years to come
