Patrick Returns after TDL

Created by: flyersarephilly
Team: 2019-20 Philadelphia Flyers
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 14, 2020
Published: Jan. 14, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Fletcher said he believes Patrick will play this season and that he will look for ways to improve the team at the TDL but didn't want to take on expensive rentals. Since that was said I don't really see a move being made. Getting Patrick back will pretty much be the deadline add.

I don't follow the Flyers, but what happened to him? He might start to become a bust if he can't stay healthy imo

This offseason he was diagnosed with migraine disorder so he's not injured but the migraines are so debilitating that he can't play. He's been progressing to the point where he is skating and training pretty hard but they don't have a timeline for getting him back.

Didn't know a 21 year old with two 30 point seasons was a bust but go off...

A 2nd overall should have way better numbers than he has

I guess Kakko has bust potential too by those standards

Dude he’s 18
If you expected more than about 35 points from him this season you don’t know anything about hockey

But a 21 year old with only playing while he's 19 and 20 is a bust. I don't know how you could label someone as a bust after 2 seasons when they didn't event play a full year in either one

Ok I’ll admit that he isn’t a complete bust but he certainly is on pace to being one

Damn that really sucks. Hopefully he can make a comeback sooner than later

Let's go through the data shall we?

In 17-18, Patrick's first season, he had 13 goals, 17 assists, 30 pts in 73 games. Next season (last year), he scored again 13 times and had 1 more assists, for 31 pts in about the same amount of games. Noticed something? He only had 1 more point in his second season. He should've had 12-15 more. But hey, if he comes back and has a strong end of season, I think he could become a valuable 2nd line center, but that's still somewhat of a bust for a 2nd overall pick

Sure. Never said he's on pace for a great season. He also has to adapt himself to the north american ice and is playing with pretty bad guys actually. I'd try him with Panarin and Strome
