This wouldn't get you Craig Anderson as a rental and it sure as hell isn't getting you Nilsson.

Literally your starter at 9-9-2 with a 3.18 GAA and a .908 SV percentage. **** please.

Of course his numbers aren't fantastic. The sens are a bad team this year. The fact that he's been able to post numbers that are roughly league average this year is pretty impressive all things considered.

If you actually watch him, he's consistently one of the team's best players, and he makes big saves to at least keep the team in the game. There's a reason they started their worst stretch of play all season as soon as he got injured.

Also wins and losses is a terrible stat in goalie evaluation.

You got a point there. But I lead a life and I obviously don’t have Rogers NHL Gamecentre Live.

Totally fair. I think a good way to put his play into context is to look at the play of the other goalies on bad teams. Nilsson is clearly better than any of them this season.

Also I think people are still adjusting to the fact that because scoring is up so much the last couple of years, the threshold for average goalie numbers is lower as a result. An average sv% used to be in the .912-.915 range now it's closer to .907-.910.
