Columbus is trying to make the playoffs. Sure they aren't giving up two NHLers and only getting one in return.

The trade gives the Leafs I believe 5 years of NHL control in the two players coming to the Leafs. CBJ receives just half a year of NHL control and really iffy futures. Just don't see what's the benefit for CBJ

They would be able to give the young guys more ice time

????? Well I guess the Bruins could trade Bergeron and Marchand because they want to give young guys more ice time. Anderson and Nutivarra are hardly old. Are they blocking any youngsters to take their place.

Gavrikov could become the true number 5 D-man in Columbus, while Kukan would have more opportunities. And Anderson isn't working in Columbus and Stenlund is playing great so I think he should remain in the NHL even when the injured players come back

Honestly Columbus probably accepts when Peeke is healthy and then flips Ceci with retention to another team or just sends him to the minors. Would rather see the 2nd in 2020 but adding a 2nd isn’t the worst thing to do for a team starved for picks.
