Ok. How to say this nicely. Robertson who the leafs think could be a good top 6-9 forward for them for some guy who doesn’t fit our needs.

The oilers hang up block your number and put the phone down the toilet.

Fair warning. Toronto fans are coming after you for that trade proposal.

I'm a diehard leaf fan but that's because I am from toronto. LA are my third fave team in the league to watch and rotate between second and third all the time with VGK.

I really don't think Martinez is right for toronto. More so the left side is going to be already full of really good players. The issue is more so on the right side in the future. This team isn't a team to think now and we will figure it out later. Martinez to oilers or maybe canucks (stretch to me there)..

Tampa doesn't do that trade and doesn't make much sense for them to do it.

Martinez is left-handed, but he has played most of his career on the right side. His ability to pay both sides is one of the main reasons why he is desirable asset.

Additionally, he has significant experience playing with Muzzin. The two were a quality pairing in LA for years, anchoring the Kings to multiple Jennings trophies in front of Quick. They would be a quality second pairing in Toronto, a team that is notoriously suspect in their own zone.

I can see the benefit of Martinez to Toronto, but not for Robertson+. A 2nd and Der-Arguchintsev though?

Understandable. Issue is the term. Then we wouldn't be able to resign Muzzin and I'd rather have Muzzin than him personally. Even if they did the trade and he didn't have the term.. Robertson SDA and a pick is wayyy to much. Robertson firstly is a high cost factor but more than likely a none option when comes to trading since he has a really high upside and is really young. So not tradeable imo. SDA is the same.. when people generally trade futures they are trading away AHL prospects who are about to come up not OHL or other leagues really.

Sure Toronto trade bad but are we just going to ignore that Edmonton trade?

A 2nd rd pick is the most you could get for Martinez.
