Why not

Description
Considering the Leafs have lost some key pieces on their D-core, and the bruins might be losing Rask, Habs are only 7 points behind the leafs, and Drouin is looking to return soon, why not make a push? Before the injuries, Habs were really good.

Question now though is who are our 4th liners?

considering that gally is injured, kovy plays top 6 (he's been excellent). peca shouldnt be in the nhl. thompson should be the 4c. poehling should play with KK imo.

Weal Thompson Armia (If healthy)
send Poehling down when Gally is back.

I strongly disagree (also I am talking about completely healthy)

Tatar - Danault - Gallagher
Drouin - Domi - Suzuki
Lehkonen - Kotkaniemi - Armia
Byron - Thompson - Kovalchuk
Poehling/Cousins

Trade Weal

idk if you've watched kovy play man. if he slows down, than sure, ur lines make sense. but if he keeps performing well. he's gonna play higher up. maybe beside KK.

I don't disagree with the premise, but then the Habs should be "renters" in the next couple of weeks, especially getting a bonafide, battle-tested backup goalie and a versatile Dman. Maybe Chicago would rent out either Crawford or Lehner. Jersey has Vatanen on the block, or at least Mueller, who wouldn't be an improvement but offers RD/LD depth.

my thoughts exactly. once heatlthy, our forward core is actually really good and underrated.
