    Uhhhh why would he want to go to New Jersey? Not sure how much intellect you have on that, but it really doesn't make any sense at all. I kinda doubt this is real tbh.

    But just for ****s and giggles, a return would have to be pretty substantial. Everything he does for us is so valuable that it'd have to be one of those deals where it's too good to pass up on.

    I’m so confused, why would Wilson ever want to be traded to a non-competitive team. Unless there’s some internal issues than it makes no sense to me.

    It’s tough to gage a return on Wilson because he can be very effective offensively and play a tough physical game. He also has a good contract with term, it would probably be too costly for NJ’s liking. Although now might be the time with an interim GM in place.

    It’s interesting to speculate the return, but the logic behind it makes 0 sense imo. Like he’d be an idiot to leave WSH for NJ.

    My source that knows Tom Wilson says that he’s happy. But my other other source that knows max Domi says he want to go to Washington for free.

    Wilson has more value to the Caps than his stats show due to extreme fan favoritism. Think Brendan Gallagher. Gallagher has better hands, but DC loves them some boarder-line cheap play so they love Wilson. He is also clicking with Ovechkin. This year he is with Ovechkin about 65% of his 5v5 time, last year it was pushing 70% of his 5v5 time.

    I obviously do not see NJ even having a discussion including Hughes or Hischier, but the drop for them is significant. Not only do I not see anything on NJ that would get the deal done, but I doubt any team would offer the gross overpay that the Caps and the fan base would need to send Wilson away.
