Depends how desperate you are.

If I'm Anaheim, I'm saying yes before you can realize your mistake. I also feel like Miller declines to waive the NTC.

If I'm Toronto, I've gotta be thinking "Gudbranson has been surprisingly good...but do I want to spend that $4 mil on him in 2020, or are there alternatives that I'd prefer?"

Also, I can't imagine Leafers would be happy sending Kap. Seems like an overpayment.

Its an over payment for the Leafs, in the neighborhood of gross.

Don't see how you can say that:

Gudbranson > Zaitsev
Del Zotto >> Rosen

Oh, wait a minute . . .

Closest thing this exchange has to reality is that Anaheim would trade you Ryan Miller (if he would waive his NTC) for a 2020 second and a 2021 sixth.

He is a fan favorite but ... the ceiling in Toronto is the 3rd line for him, he hasn't clicked well with either AM or JT, I'd pull the trigger on a trade for some defence if we are serious about a run ... and the leafs can't really afford to not send salary back in any trade ... if you think its an overpayment, maybe take out the 2nd. Ideally .... they should go for Georgiev and Deangelo in NY, but that's gonna cost alot more than just Kapanen .... and those 2 wouldn't be short term fixes .... how much is Dubas willing to surrender?

I don’t know if Deangelo is the fix you guys need. Guy is a bomb offensively, but that’s not really what the Leafs need. I like him a lot, and would love him on the Ducks, but the Leafs could really use someone that can shut guys down in the playoffs. Not a lot of 7-4 games once you hit April.
