Boston laughs and laughs and laughs.

Koivu has 2 goals and 13 pts. You are not getting a 1st for him.

The value in Koivu is penalty killing and faceoffs. Also, Paul Gaustad was traded for a 1st at the deadline one year so never say never.

Not worth a 1st.

He wouldn't be a PK in Boston and he would be the 3rd or 4th faceoff guy.

Koivu is done.

Necas is not even close enough to the block to see it with binoculars.

Brodin would be a good fit, but you’d probably be looking at pick(s) + prospects not Necas.

How would you feel about Bokk, Gardiner and your 1st for Brodin and Donato?

That’s way too much. Donato isn’t a fit, he’d come in and become a bottom 6 forward maybe even a scratch. I don’t think the Canes are trading Bokk until he can get to North America next year and they see him in the AHL.

I’ve posted regarding Brodin a few times. Think the Canes would be offering something like conditional 2nd which could become a 1st + Haydn Fleury, along with some sort of additional pick or B level prospect.

I can't see the Wild moving Brodin for anything except a young right-handed forward with top 6 potential plus maybe a pick. No need for any defense coming back or we might as well keep Brodin since it would just be downgrading since he's not a rental.

Then the Canes are out...we have a severe lack of right handed forwards. I’m trying to figure out why Wild posters say the don’t need another defenseman if you trade Brodin. Fleury is a young RFA asset who desperately needs top 4 mins, he’s logjammed in Carolina.

Also, the point is you are taking a downgrade on Brodin to accumulate assets. I didn’t realize Wild were looking for Hockey trades, I’m hearing they are looking to sell at this point.

Would not get top 4 minutes in Minnesota. Spurgeon, Suter, Soucy, Dumba is the top 4 if Brodin is gone.

And yes you downgrade in a sense but Brodin is the only tradeable asset we have to get a forward back that could potentially improve our offense. Trading Koivu, Zucker, Foligno etc. is for accumulating assets.
