Pens Leafs Preds Rangers Habs Cats

Description
Bunch of trades. I'm sure I didn't nail them all, but just a bunch of players and prospects I'd like to see the Wild acquire. I know most Wild fans will not like me putting Boldy on the block but for Forsberg I can justify it. So yeah take a look tell me how bad they are and how you would fix it.

LHD is probably MTL's biggest weakness, trading Romanov just doesn't make any sense.

I kinda figure that trade depends on if the Habs get back into the playoff chase or not. Hunt is naturally a LD but can play either side and is good on the PP. I'm sure if Habs can't get back in the hunt they definitely say no to this deal. Have you heard when Romanov is planning to come to NA?

If Forsberg were available for some reason, there's no way NSH would take a bad contract like Zucc's, as part of the return.

Romanov is the 5th best prospect in nhl on Craig Button list. Even with the habs in playoff position this trade would happen. Both players, Kunin and Hunt are marginal players. Actually Romanov is rank higher then all your prospect by Craig Button. So there absolutely no interest from Mtl to do business with Minnesota. And even if hunt is good on Powerplay, in Montreal he would be behind Weber and petry who are better then him and with big time shot.

He is on the last year of his contract with CSKA. We're hopeful that he comes over for next season and his visiting MTL seems like a good sign.

I guess I wasn't looking at so much as a bad contract as I was him being a place holder until Boldy is ready. I do understand it not being a great contract though. If Wild retained 2 mil per year so preds are only on the hook for 4 which would make it a easy buy out in two, would that change your opinion?

No. Zucc makes one of the oldest teams in the league even older. Swapping Forsberg for Zucc puts the Preds on the road to become LA Kings 2.0 (minus the cups). Boldy doesn't excite me either. I think his skating will prevent him becoming an impact player.

I was unaware Boldy has struggled with his skating?

...so wait, you're telling me that for Zucker--who we want, and who would likely be had for Bjugstad and a first-round pick, and Brodin, who is average at offense but awful at defense (career CF% of 48.2 and career 49.2 FF%)...
you want us to pay a first round pick, two of our top three prospects, and a top-six winger?

And you're doing next to nothing for our cap relief? No Galchenyuk, no Jack Johnson? Jim Rutherford sends you an invoice for time wasted

Well if you think Bjugstad and a first will be enough to get Zucker then that's a problem. I put Bjugstad in the trade because I see a lot of Pens ACGM's trading Bjugstad away so I assumed he was a cap dump. I chose him because I believe him to be a better fit then Galchenyuk. So I would be willing to go Zucker for Galchenyuk, Addison, and a 1st. Brodin is a great defenseman I am confident most teams would give up a top prospect for him, but if Pens don't need him you could drop Brodin and Hallander from this trade.

The Rangers trade is interesting. I think that one might fly.
I don't see the Preds trading Forsberg and defintely not for that.
The Pens deal is interesting. But I think its a tad to skewed to the Wild. Add a 3rd rounder from the Wild maybe. I know Brodin is good...but the Pens have Dumolin and Petterson to be our top 4 LD's. If you added Jack Johnson to the deal as well, then i'd take it.

I think he'll struggle to keep up at the NHL level.
