Personally I wouldn’t make these trades, they are certainly more than fair. Not sure what this troll is going on about.

Dermott and Kapanan are not going anywhere until their names are both on the Stanley Cup for the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I agree these trades seem pretty fair IMO but they don't seem like fits, if that makes sense.

The Rangers are only trading Deangelo and Georgiev because they have too many goaltenders and dmen and this trade has them receiving just as many dmen and goaltenders as they trade....

Idk I see it as good fits - Leafs need RHD, grit, and a back up and they get it from both deals

I love grit in Hockey, but since Leafs dumped Babcock for Keefe, they seem to be all in on a finesse and skill style of play.

Don't think really that the Leafs can afford or even want to afford Muzzin for five years.

The issue with these Leafs-Rangers trades is people try to make them too big. You probably aren't getting all 3 of those guys. DeAngelo may not fit what Toronto is looking for in an RHD (He's more Tyson Barrie than Jake Muzzin) and not to mention he may not exactly vibe with our locker room.

Georgiev is good and helps Toronto, but not sure the Rangers have gotten value out of moving him here. Lias Andersson is not a cost the Leafs want to pay. The Rangers will want lots for him and I don't see a fit for him in Toronto's long range plans. He has 9 points in 65 NHL games, and while that's not the best way to evaluate him, he hasn't exactly lit up the AHL (or the Liiga before that). His ELC only has another year after this one, so his RFA status is moved up and because the Rangers stupidly played him in 42 games last year, his UFA clock will be up faster as well. They have totally mismanaged this situation and to be honest, I would prefer the Leafs steer clear of it. Let a rebuilding team take a chance on him.
