Dylan Demelo is going to get much much much better offers than that. Even if you doubled the money he'd still say NO based on the term.

To add to TCMonkey, hopefully DeMelo is a mainstay in Ottawa for a while. I'm hoping they offer him a competitive contract. Great chemistry with Chabot/Borowiecki.

The next thing is Jones. Ottawa will have no interest in Jones with both Nilsson and Hogberg looking like our 1-2 for next year. It's also a really bad contract to take on so you'd have to offer a little more than what is here. Maybe take out the 3rd going the other way?

OMG, I didn't even scroll that far down. The idea that ANYONE would take the Jones contract on just to get a B level prospect and a 2nd is crazy, let alone give back TWO PICKS. Yikes. Honestly, unless it's a team that's willing to buy him out and are getting back a 1st or Meier or dumping an equally bad contract the other way.. not happening.
