do you think this gets petry, ive been trying to analyze what he might get in a trade. mango and a 3rd for not a rental. it seems okay but to a rival in division ide have to expect that price to skyrocket right?

Friedman said that he could get a bit more than what Muzzin got the Kings..... Petry is very good offensively but has some trouble in his zone.. I don't think Toronto needs him

I think the whole "rival" question is irrelevant at the moment. The Habs only rivals are Detroit and Ottawa for who can suck the most, fastest.

That said, if the Habs were to move Petry, it would be part of a larger push to get younger. So rather than Johnsson, I suspect the Habs would either want Robertson or perhaps Ian Scott (G) as the major piece.

Leafs may need to add a B+ prospect. I have a hard time believing Petry would/should get more than Muzzin considering his pedigree with team Canada/Cups etc.

Why would MTL want Ian Scott when they have Cayden Primeau

Its still there. (Bruins fan) I walked into a casino in montreal wearing a bruins t-shirt. Not only did i get carded, various people were swearing at me, would try to harrass me etc (french isnt an intimidating language...). Fans still take the rivalries seriously which means teams will as well.

I didn't say that it wasn't there among fans. I just don't think GMs give a rats rear end. Look at the deals Ottawa and Toronto have swung over the years. Montreal can't really afford to be picky.
