Then your fondations and leaders are all gone, who becomes the captain of this ship?
Kinkaid went through the waivers so nobody's going to give anything for him (Not even 2 7th rounders).

Kovalchuk takes on a leadership role, as do Dubinsky (and maybe Petry).

The Detroit Trade would be Gally + 2020 1st + 2021 1st vs Detroit 1st

I said anyone who will take at that price, meaning

Any team's 2020 1st
Any team's 2020 2nd
Any team's 2020 2nd
Any team's 2020 4th

I struggle with Webers value. He looks great right now, but that money and term is insane. I posted this before, but the best case scenario for anyone dealing for him would be him playing for the next 3-4 years and then retiring and Nashville being struck with the penalty
IMO, there is no way a team is paying that price nor could 85% of teams with the cap

Check my new ACGM and check Weber's point pace, and revisit here.

Sure, like i said he's doing awesome this season. It's just the 6 after that till he's 40 that makes him tough to trade, let alone for that package

Columbus is not going to trade their No. 1 Center and highly rated prospect goalie for an aging goalie, on a terrible contract and low round picks. They might do the Dubinsky trade, but I would think the MTL would decline that. He has not played a game all year, likely wont and will probably be bought out at the end of the season.

Well-said. I think any Weber trade would land the habs a decent haul of picks and prospects, but also would require them to take back a bad contract in exchange

Vegas trade 1st 2nd and 3rd for Tatar when he was .45ppg now with MTL he's .76ppg … so yes MTL could have this value

Actually there's a pretty high chance that they will because Tatar has been playing pretty well and is on pace for 68 points, a new career high

It actually makes sense because when Tatar was traded from DET to VGK for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd he only put up a total of 32 (?) points. Now that he's on pace for doubling...

Expecting Kovalchuk and Dubinsky to be leaders on your team is laughable.

Nobody want's to buy high on a guy who is 30 and very likely will never perform like this again. He's going to get worse, not better.
