Trade with Philly for scoring

Team: 2019-20 New York Islanders
Initial Creation Date: Jan. 16, 2020
Published: Jan. 16, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I came up with this last night, let me know what you guys think?

Also I didn't do the lines.
Trades
NYI
  1. van Riemsdyk, James
Additional Details:
Islanders get JVR to provide more scoring and do so at a reduced cost of a 2nd and Ho Sang while dumping the terrible contract of Komarov.

Philly doesn't get a big return for JVR but saves a good amount of cap space.
PHI
  1. Ho-Sang, Joshua
  2. Komarov, Leo
  3. 2020 2nd round pick (NYI)

We need to clear our own cap space. This doesn't make sense for NYI.

I think finding a way to move Laad in the off season will solve a lot of problems this gets you a very good scorer for a few more years at a net cost of 4 million since you dump Komarov.

Well yeah, duh. But this is moving Komarov and not Ladd. We can live with Komarov in the lineup, we can't really with Ladd.

I think moving Laad next year won't be as hard, isn't he FA after that year? And if he is, maybe we can just replace Komarov with Laad for the same package? That would help Philly by getting that cap space sooner and cutting out the JVR contract. Worth pondering I suppose.

He has three years left after this. I think a team would take Ladd+ some assets for their struggling player on a big contract (i.e. Kyle Turris).
