Why are you showing a trade between the Sharks and Pens that stands on it's own? A 3 way trade means a player is traded and then repackaged to be traded again.

Sheary stinks. Not sure why you would want him.

That's not a 3 way trade/deal. It's two completely separate deals. In other words, the Pens Sharks deal needs to happen (is what you're saying) in order for the other deal just because of roles players are filling (goalie in this case).

A 3 way trade/deal is when a player is traded twice involving 3 teams which this is not.

Haven't seen that type of proposal from Toronto to Buffalo before, but I actually like it if the money swap is even. Cap hits are pretty close, Toronto might need to retain a very small amount on Ceci. I don't know the exact #'s with prorated salaries and cap hits, but the Sabres have zero cap room to work with thanks to our brilliant GM.

I'm not against a Miller for Kerfoot straight-up trade either. Both teams would benefit.

This is really not at all good.

Leafs move Kapanen and get a bottom pair defender and a backup that may or may not be better than Hutchinson. That is a gross overpay.

Kerfoot is the best asset in the Buffalo trade as well. Sheary isn't good and Miller sucks.

This just makes fans who read stuff and panic feel better for a couple of days until they realize it was backwards moves and then panic more.

just makes the $$ work on both ends, as an expiring UFA they can bury him or flip him out for a conditional 7th
