Such an overpay. Stanley is one of their best prospects and to waste him and a 2nd rounder for an old vet who won’t get the ice time he deserves is a waste

Staal is still a pretty solid player and at $3.25M for the balance of this season and next is a good value (33 points in 46 games) IMO.

Yeah he’s a good player but you’re giving up too much. Plus he’s a second liner. On a team like Dallas who is in need a of a second line center, he would do good. A good trade for him in WPG would maybe be Heinola and a 2nd
