They're a dumpster fire now, yes, and maybe for another 2 years. Lots of good talent up and coming, especially if they land LaF. Lots. Good effort though.

A dumpster fire that will be completely different next season with a ton of cap space and crappy people gone. Plus the year after another huge amount of cap space coming back. Grow up this is a one and done awful year and next year they will be way better.

Remember when your team has been In a rebuild for what 20 years now

Look at it again pal, after next season only abdelkator and nielsen. After this season we have 35+M in cap space. You've been rebuilding since 2000, get a clue ya hoser. What have you had 12 coaches and 9 GM's since then

Anyhow what I wrote was as an impartial observer you were kind of being a dick. He is correct about the contracts coming off the books after this year and next.

This summer Yzerman will have cap space to pick up TJ Brodie and maybe Markstrom if they go UFA. If the team does win the lottery they add Laf to the roster.

The following off season only Abby The Pylon and Frans contracts are left. With even more cap space Yzerman picks up another top tier D-man in UFA.

By then Veleno, Zadina, Seider And Rasmussen will be playing on an NHL level and making an impact. Svech and G Smith will be good role players.

So yes, this Wings team is currently a dumpster fire but are only 2 to 3 years away from being a dominant NHL team again.
