Agreed. Brannstrom will be great, but the Sens have other options coming up at D, Bernard-Docker and Thomson, who we both saw up to a few weeks ago at the WJC and Stone isn'T even isn't even in his 30s yet

They should have signed him that summer. He was still an RFA and they walked him to free agency. They could have signed him long term and the deal would have been cheaper than what he signed with Vegas.

Yes he was. In the summer of 2018, he was a 26 year old RFA with Arbitration rights. He signed a one year, 7.35mil deal.

Stone reportedly wanted a long term deal at just shy of 9mil.

I'm just going to be happy for Mark Stone. Ottawa was never going to give him that money, that term and FOR SURE never those signing bonuses. He's a great leader and has so much joy for the game, I'm happy he got away from Melnyk.

duchene was offered 8 X 8
people gotta relaize they didint want to be in this culture, thats why rebuilding nit just the team but the culture inside the locker room and around the team is very important
