I don’t see the need for the UFAs. Vesalainen and Harkins should occupy the bottom six LW positions, and Lowry won’t be traded for a guy like Aho who we don’t need. If we get Buff back for next year Edmunson isn’t needed, Heinola or Samberg should take that spot. Brossoit can be signed for even less than Crawford.

Crawford made it clear that he wants to be the starter on any team he signs with. So signing Crawford wouldn’t be logical unless he was to agree to being a backup goaltender. Then again, they already have a formidable backup goalie in Laurent Brossoit, so there really isn’t a need for him.

More of a long term plan.

Don't bring Buff back after he is done. Allows more development time for the Henoila's and Samberg's of the world...... and exactly why you do the Aho deal. Depth.

Vesaleinen is a year away. Let him marinate. Same with Harkins.

Broissot has been less than ok.
