Description

Something has to be done about this team. Brassard taking a penalty with 30 seconds left, and completely blowing the tie and losing. Unbelievable. How can you let this happen? We need more SCORING. Our whole shtick with the defense is falling apart since Pelech is gone for the rest of the season, and we have no goal-scoring AT ALL. Beauvillier, Barzal and arguably Lee is about all we have for scoring, and that's why we can only seem to score against ****show teams like the Red Wings and can never score against teams with competent goaltending and players. I was so excited when Lou was hired originally - but with his bloat contracts for the passengers on our team, his obsession with keeping worthless sacks of garbage like Komarov, Martin and MDC in the lineup and not in the AHL and his complete lack of any attempt at a trade to improve the team is turning me into a doubter. If we didn't have Trotz, we'd still be a bottom-feeder. PLEASE, we need SOMETHING done, ANYTHING, to fix this complete joke of a team. Goodnight.

I have never seen a call like that in a tie game with a minute to go. Absolutely bizarre. Even rangers fans admit it was weak call..what a brutal loss

A slump is not regression. This team has over a 100 game sample size of playing at a high level. They are still on pace for over 100+ pts. Until analytics can quantify “team defense” isles will always defy analytics.

Maybe it was weak for final seconds of the game but they missed on brutal interference call on Boychuk 5 seconds prior. The Isles did not lose this game because of that call. They lost cuz they went 0-5 on the power play. They really should have blown us out...

I wouldn't say a joke of a team, they have so many of the pieces maybe just not the franchise center or scorer yet. They've gotta make a run at Taylor Hall, or even trade for Toffoli or someone at the deadline cause as long as they dont collapse and miss the playoffs the Penguins and Capitals are pretty beatable. No excuse for Lou they gotta make a move in February

Isles lack any consistent wingers too, every top 6 winger we have is so streaky, so if they’re all hot we’re rolling, and when cold we stank

That’s true to an extent. I think a lot of that has to do with Barry trotz switching up the lines to form a respectable 3rd line. It’s hard to be consistent when you can’t develop chemistry with your linemates
