I would ponder Kap for Larsson and Puli. But the rest isn't necessary. We are talking about a marginal upgrade over Ceci and a potential bust for a guy who would become the best winger in Edmonton without a doubt.

Kap has slightly higher value than Larsson. It will take more than just Kapanen to get Larsson and JP98

Larsson isn't good. Never has been and never will be. He's at best a #4 defenceman and on a lot of teams, TO for example he is bottom pair. Kapanen is 2nd on over half the teams in the NHL. Top line on a lot of teams including Edmonton and 3rd line on maybe 2 or 3 teams.

This doesnt work for Edmonton at all. As much as Leaf fans want to bolster that Kap is more valuable then Larson Edmonton doesnt have another 20 min a night RHD. McDavid can make anyone a 45-50 point winger, he cant make guys play defense, Edmonton easily declines.

You have no clue how Kap plays. He is lightening fast, above average defensively, a north-south type player with decent offensive upside. He wiuld be the only decently talented player in Edmonton’s lineup that can keep up with McDavid. He would create a lot of room. He is worth more than Larsson, but not by much. Dealing Larsson makes resigning Nurse easier and bolsters Edmonton’s top 6. If anything, this trade favors Edmonton slightly.
