Never happen. Value's off. Larkin is DET's best player so what makes you think that they would want to move him? I think the deal starts with Wennberg
Even if DET were to accept, Larkin will not play 3rd line minutes.

de facto captain, home town boy, being shipped for spare parts? He's a key piece of the rebuild.

I don't disagree. Wennberg would probably be a good inclusion in the deal, but his salary was why I didn't, since rebuilding teams don't want too much salary (only enough to meet cap min.).
As for the lines, lately the Jackets have been rolling them very evenly, so Jenner's line has been getting about 15-17 min a night, dubois 15-17, Wennberg 13-15 and Nash 10-12.
He would slot in nicely anywhere, and with special teams Torts would definitely get him some good minutes.
I even toiled bumping up the pick to a 2nd. I don't think Jackets would give up a 1st after losing one to the Duchene signing last year, but they definitely upgrade in players to make the deal work, especially with the glut of solid NHL ready D man fighting for time.

Heck no. Put Weresnki in there and then you're starting a conversation.

I see a Larkin trade akin to the Wings under Bowman discussing trading Yzerman years ago. It would cause a revolt in Motown and upset the fan base.

Larkins not being traded unless its a massive overpayment. He's far more valubale to Detroit than just Goals and Assists. He's becoming the de facto heart and soul of the franchise. Something that's far more difficult to replace than just on ice stats.

The fact that you're offering up a couple second line wingers, a bottom pair dman and a third shows me you need to get off your armchair a little more often.

its time to break open the medicine cabinet, you're getting a little too serious.

Well you did come up with that creative trade so that's about as creative as a response as I should have expected
