Description

According to Darren Dreger the asking price of the Rangers is very high. He isn't sure if Kapanen is enough to get him. FLA, MTL, OTT, SJ and TOR already had inquired. So Toronto fans stop arguing that his value is lower, if the Leafs don't want to pay the price another team will. And if the Leafs want to improve their goaltening with Georgiev they have to pay that heavy pricetag.

Accept that he will cost a lot or stop those stupid 1-1 Georgiev-Bracco swaps

Thats overpayment. I hope somebody overpays with like Labanc or someone and faceplants right after LOL. Id do Johnsson for Georgiev+Andersson or just Georgiev. Thats max from Leafs tbh.

I also got this information from an insider. But Darrren Dreger is still more reliable than a random guy on the internet claiming that. So this makes my information a bit more trustworthy

1. If dredger said it than it’s bull****. Should’ve just stuck with your internet source.
2. Just because you ask for something doesn’t mean you get it. Chances are if they are looking for too much then they will end up keeping him.

His value is about a 2nd and a 3rd tops. He is not worth a 50 point winger.

On TO and is scoring at a 2nd line pace. Imagine what he could do if he didn't have two elite 1st liners ahead of him at RW.

Georgievs SV% and GAA are better than those of Lundqvist. Here is Lundqvist on the graph. I guess I don´t have to explain you That GSAE is the best method to evaluate a goalie

UHm, Lias Andersson took his puck & went home to Papa. I dont see him back on Broadway anytime soon.. more than likely ever.

Dont see Georgiev netting Kapanen, sure NYR can ask... If its Toronto either its a bigger deal with maybe Skjei?
Or something along the lines of Andreas Johnsson for Georgiev (he fits the bill as a salary controlled Winger & with the uncertainty surrounding Kreider...)
But it could got back to Georgiev & NYR 2020 3rd (DAL) for Bracco & TOR 2020 2nd (i dont think NYR are in love with Bracco as the "NHL ready" piece they are looking for though) ... Haven't heard what OTT, FLA & MON or SJ were kicking around.
Maybe CHI as both their goalies are UFAs come 7/1& they can flip Lehner ...

But historically speaking goalies don’t bring in established players of the same age. What young goalies with starter potential have been traded for a package that includes a good young roster player + ?

Anderson was traded to the Leafs for a 1st & 2nd

Bobrovsky was traded to the Jackets for a 2nd & 2-4ths

Bernier was traded to the Leafs for scrivens, Frattin and a 2nd

Kings traded Martin Jones + Colin Miller + 1st for Milan Lucic

Boston then flipped Martin Jones for Sean Kuraly and a 1st

Georgiev has looked good but has not played enough games to warrant a package of an established player + IMO. A package of a promising A or B prospect with a pick 1st or 2nd depending on the prospect is what should get it done.

James Mirtle and Darren Dreger on Twitter are saying neither Johnsson or Kapanen straight up for Georgiev gets it done. I think the Rangers are going to package a couple of players, like Krieder/TonyD/Georgiev all together to get a BIG player this deadline instead of just selling each piece to the highest bidder like past years
