Going to take something pretty shiny, new gm needs to figure out direction and get this team off it’s permanent bubble status, and still handcuffed to parise and suter going to be difficult. Dumba move starts a rebuild in my opinion, quality depth not enough.

Have the owner and the GM agreed on a rebuild? Because until that happens, Matt Dumba trades make little sense.

I dont think Wild should move Dumba, Leafs certainly dont want to move Nylander.

But I do see what your saying here.

Our beat writer has said Dumba is definitely available along with Brodin and Zucker. He speculated that Greenway, Ek, and Donato could be available too, but he has just heard across the league that Dumba, Brodin, and Zucker in particular are drawing a lot of interest.

I think Dumba is somewhat expendable now. We have a serious need for talented forwards and Brodin has played the best hockey we've ever seen this year. I mean he has easily been our best defenseman and it's not close IMO. Soucy has emerged as a great partner for Brodin and Dumba has had a rough year but our blue line has been fine without his dominance. I think it's all mental for Dumba, he is just beyond snakebitten, but in a trade he and Brodin are probably our most valuable pieces and since Dumba's younger and controlled for longer that probably gives him slightly more value so I'd bet Guerin would move him if the trade is right. I agree, though, the Leafs won't and shouldn't move Nylander. I've just seen a million Kapanen + 1st trades for Dumba and frankly that won't cut it if the Leafs are serious about acquiring Dumba.

Would love to have Eriksson on Leafs.

Any chance of something centered around Kerfoot and Mango for Dumba and him have legs? @tansor

Honestly I kinda want to keep Ek around. He's a black hole offensively but he is a great bottom 6 PK specialist center that gets under guys skin. Hope we don't trade him
