So the leafs wind up trading bracco, johnsson, and ceci for Dumba?

Man, it’s just that easy huh? Ummm, the bruins would like to do a three way trade with you and Detroit. Don’t pay attention to the rest, but the Bruins give up Clifton and Senyshyn and get Matthews.

The wild are huge losers in this. Dumba isn't having a great year but he is still worth a lot more. They lose Dumba and Zucker and only useful piece they get back is RNH. Who isn't all that great and is close to UFA. Ceci and Gagner don't have a whole lot of value if any. The third is nice but it will be a late 3rd. Poolparty is a big question mark.

laugh Ceci and Gagner are two pending UFA's that the Wild have no interest in, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins has another year until free agency and reportedly is seeking up to $8 million per over 7 seasons. That's pure trash for Dumba and Zucker. You might get Zucker for that but Dumba cost you Nylander at the very least.

I'm not for or against this trade but what bothers me about such trades is...value of a given player. Generally, Dumba has more value but is not having a good season.
So something needs to be done to show that. A GM trades for a player nased on current value and play, not just based on past performance.

Ok but Ceci & Gagner are there really to just make salaries work as both leafs & Oiler are both up against the cap

Minnesota's best bet would be to hold onto Dumba and not trade him while his value is down then.

Tell me honestly? If you were the Wild's GM, Would you trade both Zucker+Dumba for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins+Sam Gagner+Cody Ceci+Jesse Puljujarvi+Columbus 2020 3rd round pick. I bet you wouldn't this is total trash for the Wild.

Cool, so Edmonton’s getting screwed too. The leafs will never get Dumba by just giving up an okay prospect, an okay player, and a cap dump. That’s an absolute joke

Honestly, no but I think it’s a good starting point. I’d want a higher pick &or another pick/prospect. That said I don’t know a ton about Tor or Edm prospects. I do like RNH though & love the roughly 13 mill in cap space this gets for the summer.

Cash is King & now I’d have a lot spend

Also just in general what is Zuckers value??? He’s been traded twice in the last year only to have the deal fall apart & not having a great year

This is completely untrue. No credible source is reporting that.
