Bracco, Hutchinson, and a second would be my offer to get Georgiev. Bracco being a hometown boy, Hutchinson for depth (they only have Adam Huska in Hartford now that Igor Shesterkin has been called up) and a future pick in a deep 2020 draft.

They were talking about Georgiev to Toronto on NHL Now but they didn't say for who and if they did I missed it. They were also skeptical about NYR trading Georgiev at all because of uncertainty of what Hank will do.

Apparently Jeff Gorton wants Kapanen+ which is great for Rangers fans, but not for Toronto

Good call! That's about the usual haul for a backup keeper right?

I had the thought that the 2020 2nd is what NYR are demanding, and Dubas won't do it because they don't have a first...

Who gives a rat's behind about the cellar dwelling, tanking for all their worth Wings? Are they looking to trade futures to another rebuilding team for a backup? Why would they, and with the playoffs a few years away from being a few years away, who could really care?

I'd send Timashov or Brooks with a pick in the package, do they count as roster players?

Kapanen seems like appropriate value, but if Leafs don't want to send a roster player, the 2021 1st works too..

Kappy>than georgiev. He is a backup with average stats. Has not proven he can be a game winning starter.

I think it’s laughable. Chiarelli would be all over it. But not dubas. You don’t waste assets to patch holes.

Lmao... prepare for disappointment. The asking price is a forward (nhl or almost nhl ready) and a draft pick. All of this nonesense about Kapanen came about from dreger talking about how he is a forward they would For a Dman. Personally I think Johnsson is the forward they would move.

First of all, I don't think Toronto is the team that makes the most sense as a trading partner. They should be looking for a backup, not a young goalie who should be getting a chance to become a starter. So of course they want to pay backup prices. They should go with someone like DeSmith.
Second, what's the deal with Bracco? The Leafs had a ton of injuries and put his AHL coach in charge and he still couldn't even get a cup of coffee in the NHL.

lol

Georgiev has faced tough shots against and has performed well this season. He sits 9th among goalie who've faced at least 400 unblocked shot attempts in delta sv%. Kapanen sits in the bottom third forwards in goals above replacement. pic.twitter.com/6lz1IwWCd6

You can wrap it however you want and use all the fancy stats with coloured colums that you want, its Goalie talk and your "Starter" is currently 3,08 GAA, even Hutchinson looked more like 1st Goalie when he started, so few non-fancy stats for you :

Hutchinson ( his first three Seasons ) :
38 GP......2,38.......0,914
30 GP......2,84.......0,907
28 GP......2,92.......0,903

Currently 3,83.......0,885

Georgiev :
10 GP.......3,15.......0,918
33 GP.......2,91.......0,914
21 GP.......3,11.......0,911

As i said before, just keep the PEARL that you have.......

According to Dreger.... He doesn't think Kapanen for Georgiev straight up is enough.

It's pretty hard to compare goalies especially considering the fact that since Georgiev got to the Rangers they have been rebuilding, he has been putting up decent numbers for a team with a terrible defense

Never denied that and same can be said for every Goalie thru history of the League, its just his "efforts" arent basis to land you what NYR homers think he will. But coming to TML notorious brilliant D will feel like jumping out of a frying pan into a fire.....

Good point, but I think a lot of Rangers fans see Georgiev taking over ur starting goalie position once Anderson's contract is up in two years because he is already 30 and I dont think Torono is going to want to commit 7M plus to a goalie at 32 and as far as I know u guys dont have a lot of great goalie prospects
