That's fine, but their fans need to stop thinking the Wild will take Kapanen one for one for Dumba.

No, I don't think that's true.
And no, they couldn't possibly have their sights set this high, or he wouldn't have been mentioned as "available" by a few sources.
But this won't come close to happening, so Wilder people can dream. Likely a more future oriented package going their way, that's why the Leafs fans have talked young forwards and picks.

"Maybe listening to offers on Dumba" is not "available". They don't need to trade him at all, the offer would have to be very good.

Not sure where the line is, or how far apart those two states are, but either maybe available or available has been the talk. Pretty sure you also know that those are the facts. Semantics are only maybe helpful.
And of course it would have to be for a real offer, not Kappy and a 2nd, no matter how much you like crazy speedsters

Toronto has no first. The only thing they have to offer is Nylander unless they wanna give up Kapanen, Liljegren and a pick. They have nothing else to offer the Wild, a team full to the brim with wingers.

I agree. Toronto will probably never do it but any Dumba trade should be around Nylander with the Wild adding a little bit. So we can all put Dumba to Toronto trades to rest, cause it ain't happening.

I agree the Leafs won't get Dumba 1 for 1 with Kapanen but he could be part of the deal. That said I can't see the Leafs trading away 1 of their top 4 forwards while they look like a strong playoff team without Dumba. If Dubas did that he should be fired. If Wild want to get Nylander from Leafs they will have to wait until after the season, then there may be an opportunity.
Wild need to get younger so if the Leafs offered Ceci, Liljegren, and Kapanen possibly a 3rd for the Ceci cap dump I would be inclined to except that deal from them. Not interested in Bracco I think at best he is a 3rd line wing.
Also I believe Leafs blow their best trade bait on Georgiev.

Ok, could the Wild retain 1.5-2M? Kappy, Lilly and a 3rd = deal for me. Our development team is too good to worry about losing Lilly in there, and we could still trade for other D with the stacked forward depth...

This. If there's no Nylander involved then it's Kapanen and Liljegren probably. Leafs fans will say that's not equal either though. However, I don't think the Leafs look like a strong playoff team, especially while missing their best two d-men.

Kapanen, Liljegren and a 2nd and I'd probably give in if Brodin can't get us Bokk out of Carolina.

Great, great points here. But I highly doubt the Leafs are into Georgiev for a high price. He is RFA, not a rental, and might want to be someone's starter next year. TML don't need that, with a Russian keeper signing seeming more realistic.

The Leafs don't play much defense anyway their d men are just a means to move the puck up to their forwards. So don't get to hung up on d men being hurt.

I’m Lways looking for ways to throw Donato into deals so how about Dumba and Donato for Nylander and a 4th?

I kinda think Georgiev is over hyped as well. I like him but the asking price for a guy who has relatively average numbers seems extremely high.
