Sorry but you’re not getting Georgiev for that. Let alone Andersson too. Georgiev will net a 2nd at least because he’s being added to a team in a future platoon at the least. Someone might want him as a full starter.

He just traded Johnsson + for Subban and you’te worries about a 2nd over a 3rd and a 4th?

I couldn’t care less about the Subban trade because no one is touching that contract.

Leafs have no interest in Subban who is more concerned with his brand profile than playing hockey.

Georgiev has not proven he's an NHL starter yet otherwise he would have forced NYR's hands into playing him like one.

It's cool to think a backup can command more but in the end, Georgiev is just a backup right now.

Except he has played better than numerous starters this year. His .913 is better than Andersen, Fluery and Gibson this year. Given his age and contract status that’s what teams will be looking for at least a 1b out of him. And NYR will be selling him as that. It’ll take a 2nd+ for him or a decent prospect+.

Im surprised he doesn't have Jersey retaining 4.5M on the Subban trade ?

NYR wants a young NHL player for Georgiev. Bracco isn't good enough for them. And I don't think the Leafs are willing to trade Kerfoot, Kapanen or Johnsson for a back-up goalie since Dubas likely wants to use one of those to boost the defense

Blah blah blah, there is no doubt that NYR wants an NHL player for Georgiev they just won't get it Georgiev has not proved anything and goalies are wishy washy, as for the Subban trade not a fan myself just has this burning feeling he ends up a leaf also feel like he'd excel on that team with their style of play and as a secondary piece of the D.

The ask is a young nhl ready or close to nhl ready forward and a pick. Bracco, Timashov and maybe even Moore fit that bill.

Back up goalies even young ones with potential to be starters don’t carry that much value.

I did not comment on the trade, just his value as a backup in this league.

You can “blah blah blah” all you want. He’s getting the equivalent of a 2nd in any trade. He’s proven plenty to those that matter.

I gotta agree with @oneX on this one, he isn't getting them that he's viewed as a backup with potential to be a 1b and he needs a new contract next year, If that's what the rags are asking for he won't be moved.

He’ll be moved. It just won’t be to TOR unless TOR wants him as a cheaper starter in 2 years when Andersen is up. There’s plenty of teams looking for goalie help for the future. He doesn’t have to go to a contender. He’ll get something equivalent to a 2nd.

Maybe in the offseason after other teams explore the FA market but I agree it won't be the Leafs if they're looking for what you're saying.
