Description

Colorado is a cup contender, the window is open and it should be open for the next 5 years, in my estimation they are missing 2 dangerous scoring lines, they have the grit and toughness and skill but the scoring drops considerably from 1st to 2nd line...

Now if the sharks are legitimately thinking of moving Meier, sakic should jump on it, I feel like that's a decent package but would be willing to give more if needed

This deal seems like it’s somewhat fair. Does Kaut stand a chance at being decent again or is he a lost cause?

I think he'll turn into a middle tier nhl player... not as good as Meier but still servicable

He’s not at all on the block. But the sharks are in a down year, so if someone offered say an elite prospect package ,they might not turn it down. While this deal probably works value wise, I don’t think they do it as Newhook doesn’t quite have that elite potential.

not a lost cause. His AHL offensive numbers are starting to ramp up after being hurt to start the season. A big part of his game is his 2way play, put him in NHL right now and he would be an effective 3rd line defensive forward/PKer.

Needs more time to work on his offensive game, good thing with his age, his ELC slide last year, and he can slide again this season. Really you can have 5 years of Pro hockey on his ELC before you have to look at his next contract

Think donskoi type player if kaut adds to his offense a bit more
