Preds won't trade Arvidsson - no reason to and his contract is unreal, but the value isn't awful. STL would still likely have to add - central division rivals and such.

Thomas and a 1st is really solid, maybe add a A- Dman prospect like Perunovich

20 year old Thomas has a higher points/game than Arvidsson while playing 14 minutes a night... the Blues would never do this

Arvy is an elite goal scorer. He scored 31, 29, and 34 (in 58 games last year) over the past 3 years. If he played a full season last year he was on pace for 48 - a down year from an entire team doesn't mean Thomas is better than Arvy. Thomas is good, yes, but Arvy won't be traded anyway, so it's a moot point.

I’ll still take the 20 year old on a 51 point pace and top-15 in 5v5 points/60 with another elc season. You’re right though, neither player is getting traded so it’s irrelevant
