Stephenson's on the 3rd line and Thompson is better defensively and at faceoff than Eakin and more suited for a 4C

Petry is really good but that seems like a huge overpayment.

Not really, a pick in the range 16-31 + 2021 2nd round pick and a former 3rd round pick for a top3 RHD ( very rare on the market ) half retained and hes not a rental + a solid 4C
Vegas have a tons of picks and they keep Glass Hague Krebs

You get Petry for next to nothing for 2 years. It's a fair deal.

True, though I think you can give a similar package for a good RHD that's younger.

It's not just a "former 3rd round pick". Dorofeyev was a steal and had no business going in the 3rd round. He's going to end up being 1st round value probably.

I cant agree with you. TOR paid 1st + two 2nd round prospects for a year and half of Muzzin at 4m. RHD have even more value than LHD.

MTL retains 50% so Petry would be even cheaper (at 2.75m this contract becomes a real bargain)

Plus MTL takes a bad contract in Eakins

Good proposal GMs
