Those trades heavily favor MTL. Either a big over value on Petry and Tatar or a big under value to Suzuki and the Footes... man that sounds like a catchy blues band name: Suzuki and the Footes.

Petry is one of the best puck possession defenseman in the last three year. People have to stop undervalued him. That what it will cost to land him. He would be the perfect replacement for hamilton since they play a very similar game.

I'd Argue that Fleury has been a bit of a bust as a 7th overall pick, I cant imagine his value to be too high.

Petry is a solid D man and I'd be damned upset to see him go.

I have no clue the Value of the Foot brother, 2 mid-late first rounders, Tatar has been amazing and would fit the style of TB. Lehkonen and Armia are nothing to scoff at either.

1st trade is horrible for MTL, why are they sending a 2nd round pick > Suzuki Fleury for Petry make more sense, but the Tampa trade favor MTL tho

His possession numbers are impressive. Carolina can afford to mortgage a bit of their future with the 2 first rounders in a deep draft this year. Sounds like you've been coming to his defense a lot if you're saying people need to stop undervaluing him. It's just at first glance those are a couple of key names in the Hurricanes development short-term and long-term to fill a hole quickly right now. I think for them it's better to pick up a depth RHD for far less and give a chance to the other regulars who know the system well to step it up. Maybe if more injuries occur go for it?

Don't see Montreal doing that first trade. Would rather just get a 1st + a good prospect (Like Fleury). No point in trading that 2nd round pick.

Don't think Either team would do the 2nd trade.

That Carolina trade is absolutely horrid for the habs. Fleury is worth next to nothing, and you can’t compare a #2 defenseman to a late 1st round that might be something a while from now.
