The value is hard to tell. A lot of people think Jost still has another level to hit and is still gonna be a strong 2way centre. That being said, after drafting Newhook I think Jost is a bit more expendable. Honestly, I am still on a huge train of not trading our 1st just for one more draft, really solidify an already deep prospect cupboard and then even for the next 3 years away with the 1sts. If this was gonna go down, I'd prefer Kaut and a 2021 1st rounder going back.

I think this is a real thing for this year and next.
Teams aren't going to want to move their 1sts.
They don't want to go back to back years with no 1st round pick. Especially teams who might want to cut a deal with Seattle rather than lose a player they value.

If there wasn't an expansion draft at the end of next season it would be a different story. But this year and next year the trade deadline is gonna be tight.

this is the deal. if the avs want quality they are going to have to pay for it.
