Bolstering 5v5 scoring

Description
Bonino and Vesey have some pretty decent 5v5 scoring numbers this season, and one of the things holding Edmonton back from running away with the Pacific has been its 5v5 scoring.

Colorado's killing it this season, but can't kill penalties to save their lives this season. They also have a fair bit of available cap space, and all Khaira seems to be able to do this year IS kill penalties. Seems like an okay fit, can't imagine that the return will be anything substantial.

Vesey exists just to shoot pucks from McDavid's left. I wanted to go for Philip Danault or Pavel Buchnevich in that spot, but figured the acquisition cost was too high. He brings additional size, and for the 15-ish minutes he'd need to play 5v5, his production should spike and give Edmonton two incredibly punishing lines at evens.

Nashville trade is a total shot in the dark: I imagine the preds don't see Russell as a super desirable asset, but in a year where they aren't expected to do well, the extra 1st Round Pick becomes clear incentive to move Bonino. I've considered a swap of Finnish prospects in this deal too - it's not exactly even - but Puljujarvi has accomplished more in North America than Tolvanen has while only being a year older. I'm also of the opinion that Edmonton should not be trading it's 1st Round Pick this year WITHOUT draft capital coming back to the Oilers. I don't mind not having a top selection (Tolvanen makes this easier to manage imo), but I do mind not having a quantity of draft selections. The two earlier third rounders will suffice.

That's arguably the least significant reason to nix a Nygard-Vesey trade.

He's a fourth line winger. They're a dime a dozen these days. I'm open to keeping Archibald and Sheahan, but I'd be willing to believe that Nygard goes back to Sweden next season.

Yah they are a dime a dozen, but Archibald can play anywhere in the lineup, plays big PK minutes, hits, has speed and fast on the forecheck..........All those together are not a dime a dozen, they are actually reall hard to find. He is a keeper and has pretty good hands in his history.
