As of right now, I don't think the Flyers need Nurse. Moving Gostisbehere is fine, but that will give us too much depth of LD with Provorov, Sanheim, Cam York, and Yegor Zamula. We also want to give Nolan Patrick more time before we consider him a bust. He's 21 and his talent is there, but he's struggled with his recent injuries.

The trade is after the season, so that objection doesn't apply, but the point about value is absolutely correct. The only trade I can see Carolina making with Edmonton for Pesce is for the 2020 first (not the 2021) plus more than Larsson, or Ryan Nugent-Hopkins.
