No way laine getting dealt in division or possibly in conference, wouldn’t want him to come back to haunt. Min questionable what’s next for them. Can they break bubble team without a rebuild.

Not enough for Laine. Especially if you’re adding buff to that.

He’ll never go in the division or conference.

He’d easily be getting the equivalent of 2 1sts and a top prospect. From MIN it would have to be a huge overpayment.

Like Kravtsov, Dumba and a 2020 1st at least. More would be needed.

I would hate to see Laine go but if something doesn’t change with our coaching staff I can see him refusing to re-sign with us, and I would hate to see him moved to a division rival.

He’s getting big minutes on the first line and PP1. How could he ask for more? Unless he wants to win. I do agree though that we need a coaching change.

Even if the Wild covet Laine, they have cap issues. It would cost them too much. Also, I agree Laine is a player you don’t trade within your division. Mostly like he would be moved to the Eastern conference.

Stop the breaks on the trade nonsense. The games I have seem him play, he is getting better defensively.

Why is Big Buff in this deal? If it is a salary dump, then why isn’t the Jets offering a sweeter? There is no incentive for the Wild say yes.

He’s not even a salary dump. He probably isn’t even going to play again. There’s been no reports of him returning to the ice to skate even though he’s at the point in his recovery where he should be on the ice everyday. I think this whole thing just goes to arb and then he hits LTIR. He has a bad back and knee and ankle issues. So basically that 7.6m caphit is non existent.

Laine is no where near the trade rumours. He’s been really good defensively, he’s the jets best +/- and is making real nice plays. If he goes on a heater and starts scoring watch out. I think it is interesting to fantasize about the idea of a Laine trade. He’d be very costly and would have to go to the EC.
