Why Samuelsson? Samuelsson is exactly what we need on the blue line. He's a leader, big, shut-down capability etc.. I think he, along with Borgen are part of our future, maybe switch Fitzpatrick or Hickey for big Samuelsson.

Not only “why Samuelsson?”

But also... Why Tierney??
He’s a 3rd loner who’s playing in a 2C role and NOT putting up good 2C numbers
On pace for 14goals and just over 40pts

For that...
we are gonna give up a really good LD prospect who was just the Team USA captain?

No way
Gotta aim higher if you’re giving up Samuelsson

Bringing in ANOTHER 3rd liner to play 2C makes little sense

Lol...

Trading for an average 3C at playing him at 2C is really gonna help much?
Doubtful

Aim higher if you’re gonna trade away a really good prospect

Samuelsson is not considered "a really good prospect" and tierney would have the 4th most points of buffalo forwards, hard to cast stones

The Captain of Team USA is much more valuable than an average 3C

Even if u gave up a late pick for Tierney,
he’s fine
But he doesn’t change anything for us
Especially if you’re playing him at 2C

What’s the point of replying if u aren’t gonna back up your opinions of Samuelsson & Tierney??

I didnt know the plan was to solve every single one of the Sabres problems in the next month.

I traded a player I consider expendable and a pick for a player who is controlled who can help the middle 6. I'm sorry that has caused you so much pain a fortnight later

I've given reasons 5 times. I obviously think he is better than you do. Move on with your life

Who isn’t succeeding in his current role as 2C
On pace for 43pts
We should aim higher than that
