I really don't like the trade for Allen. I understand everything else, not sure if that's enough to get Strome but I like the idea. I'd rather sign Howard to a 1 or 2 year deal and not give up our 2020 3rd round pick. Detroit's defense will be better and hopefully heathier next season after removing all the players that are 30+.

I dont love allen but i was looking for a temporary fix that wasnt terrible that maybe could be resigned. I think its gonna be an older vet too but not howard i think thats about done. Maybe someone like halak who can be here a couple years.

Detroit can get a cheaper and most likely a better goalie through free agency.
