Description

Rangers get B prospect with middle-6 potential if they develop him the right way, and a good pick. Timashov can play 4th line if they really want him to, he's mostly just a depth guy. Bracco and the pick are the focus of this trade.

For a guy with a 3.06 GAA and no clear path in NY, I don't think they can get much more.

More than fair, you could take one of the FWDs out and it would be fair.

Grubbaur went for less.

Ben Bishop has been traded multiple times. Biggest piece ever going back...a 2nd.

Rangers fans have lost their ? over what his value actually is.

Normal. Every fan base does it, and most fans are only willing to make trades if they win them...significantly.

I honestly agree, but there's also the potential for a bidding war to break out. If the Leafs were the only team in on him, I wouldn't give up more than Bracco + a 3rd. Since there's others, I wouldn't mind overpaying A BIT. Like this offer here.

I've read posts of yours in the past and they mostly on the spot. That doesn't mean I don't disagree with what you've said...it's good to have some healthy disagreement.

Nice analysis of the Georgiev trade/value stuff. It's also hard to debate with you when you bring up guys like Grubaur and Bishop.
