Not enough. We can clearly get a second+ without conditions. I wouldnt mind having the deal be a second and a third with a condition the third becomes another second if they reach second round.

Is Dillon capable of playing top 4 minutes?

Very much yes. During the playoffs he was paired with Karlsson and they were out a ton

Toronto can't really do that deal since it doesn't leave them enough money to activate Muzzin and Rielly off of LTIR when they come eligible. At that point they'd have to move another player to create that space.

If they are adding somebody, the salary would have to be sub 2's I imagine. Maybe if SJ retains.

This website isn't perfect to compare bi-week to bi-week NHL pay checks. When a Marner or Tavares goes on the IR for a month their paychecks don't count on against the cap, with their high salaries, a month's payday frees up over 1+ million. This is how Dubas has "cheated" the Cap Hell this year.

Can't Dillon be traded to any other team besides the Leafs? Leafs have plenty of LHD, including Muzzin who returns after the all star game. If the Leafs trade futures for a short term rental it will be for a position of need.

Only if you're not functioning in LTIR. When using LTIR as the Leafs are, every move is full cap hit in, full cap hit out. The cap hit amount doesn't change throughout the season. The problem is not right now, the problem is you need 9 million to activate Rielly and Muzzin, adding Dillon creates that problem.
