Edmonton's 2020 3rd round pick is likely going to the fLames due to conditions in the Neal-Lucic steal.

I traded a second line forward with term for a second paring Dman with term plus added a close to ready prospect and a couple picks, I would change the prospect to Lilly to get it done, I really don't think there is a huge market for Dumba where the wild receive a top 6 forward plus.

You've overpriced Koivu: his 2 goals in 35 games and injuries / illness mean he won't return anything close to a 2nd, even with retention.

The real thing is Minny has no need to move dumba. he's locked up for 4 more years on a really good deal.
Why would a team wanting to rebuild take a top 9 forward, a top 6 dman if he can crack the nhl, another top 6 d man and two average picks for their best player?

I think any deal with dumba has to include a first and a top prospect to get the conversation started.

The trade still doesnt help the wild out at all. They need centers and dont need any more wingers as the wild already need to clear out a spot or 2 starting for next year. So bring in another wings doesnt help. Acouple top 6 d which the wild could just fill the bottom 2 d spots with players already in the system seeler belpedio and the picks dont do anything.

They really have no need to move him, they have made him available to see what teams are offering - in a perfect world Minny would like to move Dumba for a 3/2 C a high end prospect and a 1st - I believe Minny will be disappointed in the offers they recieved and here's why - teams are not throwing Good top 6 C/F plus prospects plus high picks for a complimentary Defense man ( he's nice to have) he is not a major impact player - Dumba does not take a bubble team to contender status from everything we have seen from Dumba he is not a build your team around piece. So that takes building teams interest out at your asking price - bubble teams wouldn't be interested in the price. That's all I'm saying - bottom line doubt he moves in season, I do see the market picking up in the offseason. From a Leafs perspective Kapenen/Kerfoot and Johnsson are all the same player and are all replaceable with in the organization Kerfoot less so as he has played some C

He's a UFA, if he wants to play the second season he'll waive, if not he won't

With the performance of the Wild as team, and Dumba’s stats declining, his value will be lower. I can’t see the Wild wanting to move him. I will be surprised if he fetches the team a 1st. I said last week, I think he is a discount. It depends if Guerin chooses a full blown rebuild.

The one issue the Wild must do is address their goaltending.

I don't think it will be that much of a discount. No one is really excelling on minny. He has 3 more years on his contract so they are in no rush to move him. Guerin isn't just going to take the first offer he gets for him. If he doesn't get the value, which should easily be a first, he's just going to hold onto him till someone offers one.

Kapanen is not a player MN needs. He's just another middle-6 winger to add to the collection. Zuccarello (because we're stuck with him), Kaprizov/Fiala, and Kunin should have the RW position on lock for the next several years. The whole Tor trade is bad for MN.

So flipping Cucky with retention for an expensive AHL lifer and a couple of $1 scratchoffs? I don't mind the Pit trade, but I'd want more for Chucky on the EDM trade.

Koivu for a 2nd is fair, if he waives his NMC.

The goaltending is the main issue, with a league average goalie they are sitting in a WC spot.

Dumba is off this year. I'll chalk a lot of that up to his injury last year and not being fully recovered and/or aggravating it. You see him rubbing the area where the was torn peck a lot during games. He probably does need another off-season to get back to where he was before his injury.

I don't think MN sells low on him, and the GM has very specific players in mind. If he doesn't get the guy he wants, then no trade happens.

I don’t either. I like Guerin. He has a good hockey mind. Great competitor as a player. Loved his day as an Oiler. I expected he will turn the Wild’s fortunes around.

Dumba is good a player to move when his value is low.
